The Centre for Early Autism Treatment bases much of its clinical practice on the work of Dr. Ivar Lovaas, whose pioneering research suggested that the use of the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis and the provision of a systematic and developmental curriculum can maximize a child's opportunities for learning and educational success. Through intensive one-to-one teaching, based on scientifically-validated and data-driven procedures, Dr. Lovaas found that children can make significant gains and require less support as they grow older.
The Centre for Early Autism Treatment primarily offers early intervention programmes by designing intensive, home-based treatment plans for pre-school children. Meanwhile CEAT recognizes that as children participate in school, they maintain additional needs which require individualized support. The Centre therefore accepts children from diagnosis through primary school age. CEAT Consultants are dedicated to working with the many professionals who contribute to the education and development of the children and welcome the opportunity to meet with Teachers, SENCOs, Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists.
