CEAT TRAINING
The Centre for Early Autism Treatment places great emphasis on frequent, accessible and affordable training for therapists, families and professionals. CEAT regularly conducts full day seminars on Basic and Intermediate Discrete Trial Teaching and The Art of Manding. These seminars incorporate a high level of small and large group work so as to provide participants with a working knowledge of the subject matter. Seminars are presented by several of CEAT's clinical staff which allows for each participant to receive individualized tuition in the techniques being taught.
Training takes the form of whole day workshops held in either Belfast or Portadown. Over the past 18 months the Centre has been able to provide intensive and group training to families and their teams throughout Northern Ireland. In the near future CEAT is hoping to develop further training seminars on Play Skills, Social Skills, Behaviour Management and Advanced Discrete Trial Teaching.
Further to our commitment to on-going training, CEAT is also dedicated to raising the level of awareness and understanding in Northern Ireland of Applied Behaviour Analysis and its role in early intervention programmes for children with ASD. CEAT aims to hold regular information evenings throughout Northern Ireland and invites all those involved in the parenting, care and education of children with ASD. |
