The Centre for Early Autism Treatment was established through the financial and personal support of a very dedicated group of parents whose children were in receipt of home-based early intervention programmes. Therefore we here at the Centre place great importance on maintaining and promoting a sense of community and collective identity for the parents of the children with whom we work and the therapists who work so diligently on a daily basis.
Our quarterly Newsletter aims to keep parents and professional informed as to CEAT's development and activities. Additionally there is a CEAT "Parent and Therapist" group which meets regularly to take part in social events and enables parents and therapists to network with each other. Many parents appreciate the opportunity to meet and talk with each other in order to share experiences about their children and their home-based programmes. |
