Applied Behaviour Analysis

Applied Behaviour AnalysisApplied Behaviour AnalysisApplied Behaviour Analysis
Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is a field of study that addreses socially important problems by promoting meaningful and socially significant behaviour change.  It does so by focusing on how behaviour works, or how learning takes place.  Most importantly, ABA works under the premise that when a behaviour is followed by something valuable, it is more likely to happen again the in the future, thereby promoting a positive approach to teaching and learning.

Decades of empirical research have resulted in the emergence of Applied Behaviour Analysis as a chosen foundation for autism-specific interventions and for reduction in challenging behaviours across many populations.   The principles of ABA to support and teach individuals with autism can be used in a range of contexts, including the home, one-to-one teaching settings, classrooms and the community.

Our team of Behaviour Analysts provides practical training the use of Applied Behaviour Analysis to families, professionals and fellow Behaviour Analysts. We have "tried and tested" training strategies in place, and will individualise our training provision to your needs.
