Positive Behaviour Supports (PBS) is a set of research based strategies used to increase quality of life and decrease challenging behaviour by teaching new skills and making changes in the child's environment. By teaching others to use these strategies, we can help teachers create positive learning environments for their pupils with autism. We assist school staff in implementing strategies to reduce challenging behaviour by providing training and support in the use of funcational assessment of challenging behaviour and in the teaching of new skills. We can provide pupil-specific behaviour support plans and class-team training in Positive Behaviour Supports. If you wish to learn more about Positive Behaviour Supports, please contact us to arrange a time to meet and discuss your training needs.
