THE INTAKE PROCESS

The clinical staff of the Centre for Early Autism Treatment consider it a privilege to contribute to the education and treatment of young children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. We aim to provide a personable and professional service which offers you the information and guidance needed to implement a home-programme with confidence. We look forward to meeting you and your child and welcome you to contact us at any time with your comments or questions.

If you would like to consider the services of the Centre for Early Autism Treatment, please consider taking the following steps:
(1) Contact CEAT for an Information Packet. Take the time to review our information on the Centre for Early Autism Treatment. Investigate additional information on Applied Behaviour Analysis and early intensive intervention to find out more about the approach.
(2) Return a Client Information form to CEAT with information on your child and family.
(3) Participate in a Screening Interview with CEAT. Through informal assessment, we will observe your child in a play-based setting and will engage in interaction with your child. We will discuss his or her developmental history and current educational provision at length.
(4) Review the Screening Report submitted by CEAT to be sure that our services meet your needs.
(5) Contact CEAT to prepare for the start of your child's home-based behavioural treatment programme.
